Men's Health
Testosterone, assessed before it is treated.
A careful diagnostic process for men experiencing symptoms that may relate to low testosterone, with honest conversations about whether therapy is appropriate.
Diagnosis first. Always.
Low testosterone is a clinical diagnosis supported by repeated, appropriately timed pathology, not a conclusion drawn from symptoms alone or a single morning reading.
Where therapy is indicated, it is a long-term medical commitment. We make sure you understand the implications, the monitoring involved and the realistic expectations before anything begins.
Reasons men seek assessment
- Ongoing fatigue and low energy
- Reduced libido or erectile changes
- Loss of muscle mass or strength
- Increased body fat
- Low mood or motivation
- Poor concentration
How we approach it
01
Repeat morning pathology
Testosterone is assessed on more than one occasion, collected at the appropriate time of day.
02
Secondary causes excluded
Blood count, sleep, medication and metabolic contributors are reviewed before any diagnosis is made.
03
Monitored therapy
If therapy proceeds, it is accompanied by scheduled bloods, review appointments and documented safety monitoring.

Typically assessed
What may be investigated as part of this pathway.
- Free & total testosterone, SHBG
- FSH/LH, prolactin
- Oestradiol (E2)
- Full blood count (FBC)
- Cholesterol, TG, HDL, LDL
- Liver (LFT) and kidney (UEC) function
Testing is determined clinically. Not every marker is relevant to every person, and your practitioner will explain what is being investigated and why.
Questions
Will I definitely be offered therapy?
No. Many men who undergo assessment do not meet the criteria for therapy, and are instead supported with other clinically appropriate options.
What about fertility?
Testosterone therapy can affect fertility. If you are planning a family, this is discussed in detail before any decision is made.
Is Complete Health Clinic available Australia-wide?
Yes. Consultations are conducted via telehealth with Australian-registered practitioners, and pathology is arranged through collection centres across the country.
