Fertility
Fertility, investigated early.
Preconception and fertility assessment for individuals and couples who want clear information about where they stand before, or alongside, specialist pathways.
Useful information, earlier.
Fertility is influenced by hormonal, metabolic, nutritional and lifestyle factors in both partners. Many are measurable, and some are modifiable.
Our assessment provides a clear baseline and, where specialist referral is appropriate, helps you arrive at that appointment already informed.
Reasons to assess
- Planning a pregnancy in the next 12 months
- Trying to conceive without success
- Irregular cycles
- Previous fertility concerns
- Considering therapy that may affect fertility
- Wanting a preconception health baseline
How we approach it
01
Both partners considered
Where relevant, assessment includes male and female factors rather than defaulting to one.
02
Preconception optimisation
Nutritional status, metabolic health and modifiable factors are reviewed and addressed.
03
Clear referral pathways
Where specialist fertility care is indicated, we say so promptly and support the transition.

Typically assessed
What may be investigated as part of this pathway.
- FSH/LH, oestradiol (E2)
- Progesterone, prolactin
- Free & total testosterone, SHBG
- Insulin and glucose
- Cortisol, DHEAS
- Full blood count (FBC)
Testing is determined clinically. Not every marker is relevant to every person, and your practitioner will explain what is being investigated and why.
